Notes for John Jacob Kiesewetter |
He was born in a log house on a farm near Sardinia, Ohio to Johannes and Anna Barbara Kiesewetter. His entire life was spent in Brown County, Ohio. He assisted his father farming while growing up and took over the farming after his father's death. He remained on the farm of his birth until his retirement when he moved to the town of Mt. Orab.
His first marriage was Maggie Freeh to which six children were born.
Five years after the death of his first wife, he married again on January 2, 1910 the local school teacher Sarah Belle Hall. They had two sons, Willard (who died in childhood of measles), and another son Quentin.
He was a quiet man and an amateur horse doctor. Died at age 83. |
