Anne Gudersdatter was born on the Flåtten farm in 1824. (Her ancestors had been on the Flåtten farm for seven generations ) She married Hans Larsen the 16th of August 1850 at age 25. She and her husband Hans raised cattle and sheep, barely, oats, potatoes, peas, and rye. She emigrated at age 45 with her nine children to join her husband on a 160 acres homestead in the wilds of Minnesota. She lived to see the birth of sixteen of her grandchildren. she died at age 74 in 1899
